i did want to make it look a bit like an album cover but i have no idea how those are designed so eh?? i also couldn't think of any band or album/song names so. if anyone has any ideas...

Also, in response to the "testosterone making people angrier" myth, I've found that, personally, testosterone has given me the self-respect to recognize and call out when my boundaries are being overstepped in ways that I wouldn't have had the courage (or, frankly even liking of myself) to have done before. This is in addition to me working on my trauma responses, but testosterone was the spark that gave me the will to do this in the first place. When I see people sae that as anger and thus is a "bad thing," I wonder how much of that is just people being uncomfortable with us... having boundaries or enforcing them, and that the response to that overstepping is labeled as aggressive anger.

Frankly, I now actually respect myself enough to care when I am being mistreated. It seems that people sometimes take that as a personal failure on my end because I don't think I deserve mistreatment.

Caveat: Anger is a fine emotion, and it is a worthy thing to recognize and honour. I find that the accusation of trans men* and trans masc* people "being angry" on testosterone is a moot point simply because it is often a false accusation which uses anger as a punishment. My issue isn't that we're "angry," but that our perceived anger is used, often, as a transphobic bludgeon to punish those who either want to transition with testosterone or who currently are, and everything in-between.

#Yk at the beginning I was their relationship through a romantic lense but now I'm starting to think they more resemble a found family #Specifically Johnny becoming a paternal figure to V #Maybe it's my aro ass that views all love and caring gestures as platonic #but the “not more important than you” felt like something a father would say to his daughter #the line “is there anything as undoing as a daughter” fitting Johnny bc he only seemed to put a real effort into changing once he got V #Someone he is proud of. Protective of. How willing Johnny is to hand V all of his belongings like a father passing his hobbies #Telling V to put his Jacket replica on. To get in his car and “I'll even let you drive it” thing #The way V arranges his date with Rogue and Johnny is like “okay kid now run along dad's gotta get busy”#Honestly the whole samurai kerry mission felt like your older dad introducing you to his friends back from band days #And this new view on him just makes things extra awkward bc I've already written a smut piece on him and V back in early game lmao #but yeah he really feels like a father figure to V. In the date with Judy when she tells you to scroll while diving underwater #And johnny is like “nope. bad idea. Fuck no. I think one of the great problems that faces people who are in the industry – within which they have to express themselves – is learning to ignore entirely anyone else’s opinion, especially complimentary opinions because the luxury with being assaulted is that you know instinctively that you’re not to take that onboard because that would affect – in a negative way – what you’re doing. just finished s2 of kaiji and it was good i really liked it but i hope i never see that fuckass pachinko machine again!!!

#i started ep 15 assuming hey the climactic battle against the swamp of despair is probably gonna be like 6 episodes max right #bc the op has hyoudou and roulette so there's a third game on the way #and from about the fourth episode on i kept going man it's gotta end next episode right they can't have That much more they can do with it #TWELVE EPISODES OF ONE GAME OF PACHINKO. YOU'RE JOKING #and watching it animated is one thing but im surprised fans of the manga didnt string him up in the street for this #im not joking i sunk cost fallacied my way through the entire thing in one sitting it was so much fucking pachinko #and spoilers spoilers spoilers but the BUILDING??? the BUILDING. jumping the shark a Little there to be so fr with you all #head in my hands kaiji i love you your life is ridiculous. the last episode having him blow his meager winnings on pachinko like the day #after was insane to me HAVENT YOU HAD ENOUGH???? I CERTAINLY HAVE #augh and like. guhh hes so nice hes such a nice protagonist im. in love with him a little bit #i do wish he was a Little more tempted by the money bc i liked that component earlier on #ah actually i think the main object of the fights becoming Figuring Out How To Out-Cheat The Enemy was less cool #don't get me wrong it was fun but i Really liked the more raw nobody knows whats going on vibes of the first two #and the group dynamics of rrps and the human derby were so delicious to me. also i wish s2 had more torture implements #the cheating thing makes sense progression-wise it's just a preference thing. the human derby hit me insanely hard #so it's kind of hard for anything to compete after that y'know?#actually very happy kaiji is still addicted to gambling at the end. like it's a happy ending bc he's debt free but like. he's not gonna #stay that way. and maybe thats a weird thing to be happy about but i think it's a choice that makes sense #he's got no reason to give it up and has become emotionally dependent on it. the series' concern w gambling as inherently self-destructive #and its sympathy towards ppl who see it as their last hope is like. really cool and idk i think it keeps kaiji real to never let that go #ok i just looked it up and the manga does continue. my ass will be reading it for sure #so idk how faithful the anime ending is but yeah. anyway i really really liked it this was good for me like emotionally #fkmt #ive heard the next arc is mahjong which is sick bc i like 80% know how mahjong works from yakuza #maybe this will help me grasp the final 20% (<- should just look up the rules or something)#what else. right i think it's funny that there's like 2 women total. The most allergic to women series ive ever seen and thats Impressive #the 2nd op is comedically cheeks like just Bad. very fun recognizing the band from the shitass 1st h.xh ed #im like 95% sure hidenari ugaki plays a side character in an episode but it's not listed on his behind the VAs so. alas.#2nd ed is fun bc while i Hate the trope it's doing i love seeing kaiji being put in Situations (clearly)#anyway. it's really good you guys should watch kaiji

We should normalize bringing these sort of "small talk ideas" cards to meetings with other people so that it's possible to avoid the awkwardness of not knowing what to talk about to kick things off or if it's considered normal to talk about this specific thing and AUGHGHFCG all this stuff.

#i don't know what these cards are actually called. but what i mean by this is that well. ok let me tell you the whole story #which is that in my attempts to become more normal and functional i started attending these 'social skills exercise' group meetings #and at our first meeting instead of subjecting us to the awkwardness of introducing ourselves one by one #the group moderator prepared these cards with questions that we would take and answer in turns #and then invite all the others to contribute a bit as well. and that part was also not as scary as i feared it would be #some of the questions were kind of not very good interesting questions but still it didn't matter that much #because i am once again being proven that as long as the conversation is about something specific #it's really not that much of a problem for me to contribute like how when i had these zoom meetings with people #that discussed my interships back in my two final semesters of uni of course at first i was super stressed. BUT once the meeting started #and it came to the actual talking? it was no problem at all suddenly like wow sometimes i actually can talk to people #but yeah the 'what do i talk about' is the problem. and another realization i had here is that i'n in fact naturally predisposed to rambling #because i rambled a lot during this meeting i feel like and i think i'm already starting to vibe with one girl from my group in particular #yet my biggest problem most of the time is not saying anything at all in most situations. because of. the masking #it's literally such a big thing to overcome i've been having such huge realizations about this. but yeah anyway #i already had the opportunity to mention sparks lol. bcs one question was to tell the others about a movie #that left a huge impact on you and well why would i lie about this and not talk about TSB and my tendency to become obsessed with old bands #another observation is that when you put 4 socially awkward people in one room the result will be that it will feel very akward #to no suprise of course. but also there is something relieving about not being THE ONLY awkward one in a group you know #but well yeah all in all. man the mysteries of human communication. maybe i'll get it all one day #goosepost
